Great Wolf Lodge – A Single Woman’s Paradise!  

 

Last weekend I took my children to Great Wolf Lodge up in Fitchburg, MA for 2 of their birthdays.  We had a blast!  We visited once before when it was Coco Keys, but they’ve since been bought out by Great Wolf Lodge and have had an extensive makeover including some great new additions.  

 

I was looking forward to some time away with my kiddos not having to worry about my hair or appearance, but much to my surprise this place was a single dad’s paradise!  LOL  There were so many dads with their children there and my sons kept making friends with them all and bringing them back to meet mom.  It was a little embarrassing and too funny!  

 

I’d highly recommend checking out Great Wolf Lodge for a nice weekend getaway with the family.  There is something for everyone including 2 indoor water parks, bowling, miniature golf, an arcade and lots of places to eat.  I was very impressed with the bar beside the lazy river for the adults.  Smart thinking!  😉  

 

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay and the staff was extremely friendly.  Be sure to sign up for their email coupons to save a few bucks.  It can seem pricy, but your stay includes water park passes for both the day of the check in and the day of check out so it’s well worth it. 

Breezy Picnic Grounds Waterslides in Douglas – Awesome Family Spot For Summer

We took the kids to the Breezy Picnic Grounds Waterslides in Douglas MA on Friday and I was blown away with how nice this place was!   So close to home it was practically in our backyard and I never knew it existed!  It was clean, beautiful and had something for everyone.  My boys enjoyed flying down the unlimited waterslides with their bracelets while my daughter made her fun swimming in the lake and building sandcastles with friends.  

 

We made an entire day of it packing a cooler and tons of snacks.  But if you forget, don’t worry…they have a snack shack on site.  The bathhouses and restrooms were clean.  The pool was clean.  There were plenty of picnic tables and spots for everyone to have their own little setup.  

 

I felt as relaxed as any single mother of 4 could out there and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.  I can’t recommend Breezy Picnic Grounds Waterslides enough for some summer fun.  We will be planning a day back very soon.
